"Records i mentides" My Little House
This piece originates from a childhood memory. When I was young, I used to spend hours playing with small wooden houses divided into tiny compartments where I arranged and rearranged my little treasures: stones, toys, miniature vases, and found objects. The simple act of sorting, placing, and observing became a way of imagining worlds.
In "Records I mentides", I revisit that intimate space from an adult perspective. The house-shaped structure becomes a small universe of compartments where each object occupies its own place and gains new meaning.
The elements included: a horse suggesting freedom, strong and whimsical stones, a set of teeth, an hourglass, a fake finger, a crystal sphere, and other small discoveries, coexist as open symbols. Some refer to the body, others to time, nature, or chance.
The work plays with the idea that memory is never completely faithful. Memories transform, mix with imagination, and sometimes with small inventions. Between memories and lies, these objects create a kind of personal archive where playfulness, strangeness, and symbolism coexist inside an imagined house.
