"Regles en Joc" or "Rules at Play" – Installation, Palo Alto Barcelona
Intervention as an Act of Collective and Individual Creativity
"Rules at Play" is a participatory installation by artist Mireia Ruiz that transforms the exhibition space into a laboratory of collective creativity.
With modular pieces created specifically for the occasion, the artist invites the audience to intervene in the artwork, choosing whether to follow the established rules or break them. Each visitor leaves their mark on the installation, constantly modifying it and generating an uncertain final outcome. The installation prompts reflection on creativity, obedience, chaos, and structure within a shared process: To what extent do we follow the rules? How does our individuality influence a collective context?
By the end of the exhibition, the installation will serve as a visual testimony to the dialogue between order and spontaneity, showcasing how human interaction shapes an ever-evolving creation.
